Digital Agency, Liquorice, contracted me to work with them on the Sanlam website in 2012. They wanted something visually fresh and contemporary that could break away from the staid “banking” look & feel but it still had to have gravitas and be hard working – delivering a lot of content.
The solution was to make the navigation hierarchy very simple initially and for it to have a visual/personal approach and not to baffle the user with cluttered page and exhaustive drop-down menu. The 3 main categories of users individuals, businesses & corporates greet the user on the home page with large, beautiful head shots. As the users drills down to the information they want the site becomes less visual. This site is no longer live.
